Chowk Azam is a city of Layyah District just 25 km from Layyah. It is located on the Mianwali and Mutan road (MM road). It has a population of more than 150,000. Why called ''chowk azam'' ? This city is called chowk azam because from its centre,4 roads leads to different destinations like M.M.ROAD AND L.L.ROAD. If you go towards north by road,you reach mianwali via fateh pur, saraye-mahajir, dulhey wali, kundiyan morr and harnoli morr on M.M.ROAD. If you go towards south by road,you reach multan via chowk sarwar shaheed and muzaffar garh on M.M.ROAD. Similarly, if you travel towards west on L.L.ROAD,you enter layyah:the district of chowk azam and from layyah,reach D.G.Khan via koat addu.
